WAMSI has joined with the Australian Marine Sciences Association (AMSA) to organise a breakfast science event for World Oceans Day.

It’s on Wednesday 4 June, starting at 7:30am at Scarboro Surf Lifesaving Club with a series of speakers giving 1-minute presentations. This ‘marine snapchat’ format, tried and tested by AMSA, means you get to hear about a lot of marine science research in an accessible, exciting way.

Featuring:

• Coffee/tea and cinnamon scrolls on arrival
• Local sea shanty band – The Lost Quays
• Marine style snapchat science talks
• Beach clean-up
• Ocean swim for the brave
• Door prizes

This event is open to anyone who would like to celebrate World Oceans Day.
