Explore the challenges, pitfalls and strategies in making research influential with those who manage or regulate our environment

How a researcher represents their work can have a deep impact on policy and policymakers. This seminar will explore the challenges, pitfalls and strategies in making research influential with those who manage or regulate our environment. We will explore the choices that a researcher can make and the consequences of how they position their work in front of key decision-makers.

The seminar will be provided by OI Adjunct Professor Tom Hatton PSM FTSE, recently retired Chair of the Environmental Protection Authority and former research scientist and executive with the CSIRO.

This event is part of the Expert Series hosted by the Oceans Institute. You can find out more about other free events in this series by visiting: www.oceans.uwa.edu.au
